The Cam Followers sit on top of the Camshaft and go up and down as it spins, they move the pushrods that open and close the valves at the top of the engine.

There are 8 Cam Followers here which is enough for one engine, you fit these by removing the Cylinder Head and dropping these into place. You must cover the working face and the sides with new oil before fitting

.

It's sensible to replace these as part of the engine rebuild, sometimes the working faces become pitted or worn and scored particularly if the engine has been standing for a long time or has very high miles.

These plugs are pressed into the engine block to fill up holes left when manufacturing the engine.

After a long time they rust and you start to leak water, if you keep your car full of Anti-Freeze this helps protect them against rust.

It's very easy to change these, to remove the old ones you knock a sharp scredriver through the old core plug and lever it out. You then press the new core plug into the block, put a flat bit of wood over if and hit it home! (You'll need to drain the water out of the engine / radiator first!).

(** Suits 5 Ring Pistons Only - You can't loose one ring to make it fit the 4 Ring piston - The Oil rings are different . Get them out to check **)

Not for later A40 Mk2's from Oct 62-68  which had a 1098cc.

You'll need to get your pistons out before ordering to -

i) Count the Rings 

ii) See if you need Oversize.

You should understand what Standard or Oversized means before you order these.

This engine set contains four times - 

x3 Compression Rings

x2 Oil Rings

Here’s a new Oil Pressure Relief Spring & Valve Kit  for the following models from Austin -

This kit regulates the Engine Oil Pressure by stopping oil dropping back into the sump after it's been round the engine.

If you have low oil pressure this could be a very easy way to fix it. 

The Spring & Plunger are accessed by removing the a Nut on the side of the engine block - Usually just under the Distributor.

These Cylinders were remade to the original Lockheed design using Genuine old stock samples.

(Original Part No/s 81281 - 81282). 

They have replaceable seals and are identical to the originals.

My cylinders are a Fair Price & they're available to Everyone.

(These Brake Shoes will not fit the Front)  

(** DO NOT buy these parts for Anything other than what I've written above - Do not take a guess because you will NOT get it right**)

Here's a new Set of Valve Springs (x8) for the following models from Austin -

Austin A40 Farina Mk2  (1098cc)          (Oct 1962- 68)

There are x8 springs here which is enough for one engine (x4 Inlet and x4 exhaust). 

You replace these springs when the Cylinder Head is removed and a tool to compress the old springs, remove the collets and then to refit the new springs.

Replacing these springs is really very worthwhile, the springs will have weakened with age and some can even break. The results are problems running at medium / high revs and possibly burnt out / leaking valves.

Here's a new Brake Master Cylinder (0.75") for the following models from Austin-

Only suitable for the Brake - Not the Clutch.

This has a plastic reservoir whereas the original is all metal.

Here's a new Front Manifold To Exhaust Downpipe Clamp (1.25" / 32mm) for the following models from Austin-
