Here's an IGNITION COIL, it is a non Ballast 12v coil and suits the following models from Ford -

The function of this coil is to generate the 000's of volts required by your spark plugs, they deteriorate with age and the insulation between the wires inside can breakdown and therefore the coil needs replacing once in a while.

These fit on the rear Brake Drums where the Handbrake Cable joins and where the Brake Hose joins the Wheel Cylinder, you can see them in the photograph.

These are made of rubber.

For those of you who want to fit these to kit cars they are 7.7cm long and 3.2cm wide.

Is is sensible to replace these at the same time as the the wheel cylinders.

You get 4 here so that's enough for both sides.

These fit in the outside of the drum and hold the wheel cylinders in place, you will see them i f you put your head behind the rear wheel.

These can rust away or just get broken when you remove them.
