These plugs are pressed into the engine block to fill up holes left when manufacturing the engine.

After a long time they rust and you start to leak water, if you keep your car full of Anti-Freeze this helps protect them against rust.

It's very easy to change these, to remove the old ones you knock a sharp scredriver through the old core plug and lever it out. You then press the new core plug into the block, put a flat bit of wood over if and hit it home! (You'll need to drain the water out of the engine / radiator first!)

When these Slave Cylinders were re-made, they used a seal that was way to thin and not up to the job -  So the cylinder keeps on popping.

This cylinder has been made to the original spec so it will last.

This cylinder is complete and working apart from the Metal End Boot which i can't supply at the moment - 

That means the Metal End Boot is not included in this sale. 

You'll have to prize off and re-use your old one. 

That means you should tell your mechanic before he bins the old one.

Don't phone me up and ask 'Whens the Metal End Boot coming?' All that does is prove you didn't read the description and will make it impossible for me to serve you again.

This fits round your engine flywheel and the starter motor engages it's teeth to turn your engine.

With time the teeth become worn away and your starter motor will jam so that you have to rock the car back and forward in gear to free it off - then try again.

After more wear the starter motor will just skip over the teeth of the ring gear making a noise.

If either of these happen you need to buy this ring gear.

To fit this you have to take out the gearbox, remove your old ring gear by hacksawing it off.

You then have to heat up this new ring gear with a gas torch so that it expands. You then place it over your flywheel and it will cool and shrink to fit.

If you have the Steel / Alloy cylinder with the Groove for the Pinch Bolt is only on One Side then you need the later Diaphram clutch - Not this one.

However it is recommended that you bolt the discs up using a Torque Wrench (32-35 lb/ft), this is to ensure the discs are bolted down evenly. Also recommended that you fit new brake pads at the same time. (See my other listing).

These calipers come complete with the pistons and seals already assembled, they do not include Brake Pads or the Pad Fitting Pins / Shims. 

Not for cars after Dec 71 as the thread for the brake hose to go in changed to metric afterwards and the size of the pad locating pins was changed

These are 16pb Type calipers, your original calipers may be 16p Type which means the design of the seal around the piston is different.

These calipers are interchangeable and Triumph fitted both varieties on these models - there’s no difference in braking between them as the pistons are the same diamater.

When these Slave Cylinders were re-made, they used a seal that was way to thin and not up to the job -  So the cylinder keeps on popping.

This cylinder has been made to the original spec so it will last.

This cylinder is complete and working apart from the Metal End Boot which i cant supply at the moment - 

That means the Metal End Boot is not included in this sale. 

You'll have to prize off and re-use your old one. 

That means you should tell your mechanic before he bins the old one.

Don't phone me up and ask 'Whens the Metal End Boot coming?' All that does is prove you didn't read the description and will make it impossible for me to serve you again.
