Here's the kit you'll need, it is the remote gearlever re-bushing kit, this is a comprehensive kit for the -

There are two types of gearbox used on these models, this kit will only suit the type where the remote gear linkage is bolted onto the top of the gearbox - (See the photo).

Here's a Sump Gasket Engine Set (Conversion Set) for the following 4 Cylinder models from Triumph-

TRIUMPH

Triumph Spitfire MkIV     (1296cc)      (1970- 74)

Triumph Spitfire 1500     (1493cc)      (1975- 80)

Here's a new Head Gasket Set for the following 1500cc models from Triumph-

These models do not use Valve stem seals like more modern cars.

Check you still have the correct engine fitted - Should be Prefix Eng No/ FL & FM.

Here’s a new Oil Pressure Relief Spring & Valve Kit  for the following models from Triumph -

Triumph Spitfire (Mk1,2,3,4&1500)     (1962- 80)  

This kit regulates the Engine Oil Pressure by stopping oil dropping back into the sump after it's been round the engine.

If you have low oil pressure this could be a very easy way to fix it. 

The Spring & Plunger are accessed by removing the a Nut on the side of the engine block - Usually just under the Distributor.

Check you still have the correct engine fitted - Eng Prefix No/ FC.

This set will only suit the above engines, not the later 1300cc Spitfires (See my other listings).
