Here’s a new Oil Pressure Relief Spring & Valve Kit  for the following models from MG -

MG Midget 1500     (Eng No/ - FP)   (** From Dec 74- 79 **)

This kit regulates the Engine Oil Pressure by stopping oil dropping back into the sump after it's been round the engine.

If you have low oil pressure this could be a very easy way to fix it. 

The Spring & Plunger are accessed by removing the a Nut on the side of the engine block - Usually just under the Distributor.

ii) Or see if you have the Identification Ring Embossed on the master cylinder (See picture). If you have the Embossed Identification Ring then it's the New Type Master Cylinder that needs x2 Ring Seals inside - Not this Kit.

Don't buy a 0.75" Brake Master Cylinder for £29 off that Bedroom Seller who puts (?) everywhere because he does not know about or care about what he's doing. It will only give you 73% of the braking that MG intended.

The MGC needs a 7/8" bore Brake Master because of the size of the calipers and a servo is being used.

If you buy the bozo cylinder - Your foot will be on the floor long before your MGC Stops. You Decide........
