Here's a new Brake Master Cylinder Repair Seals Kit (0.75") for the following models from MG -

This kit only fits the Old Type Master Cylinder which used x1 Cup and x1 Ring

Type Seals -  Not the New type with x2 Ring Seals. (See picture).

To identify you can either -

i) Take it apart.

ii) Or see if you have the Identification Ring Embossed on the master cylinder (See picture). If you have the Embossed Identification Ring then it's the New Type Master Cylinder that needs x2 Ring Seals inside - Not this Kit.

Don't buy a 0.75" Brake Master Cylinder for £29 off that Bedroom Seller who puts (?) everywhere because he does not know about or care about what he's doing. It will only give you 73% of the braking that MG intended.

The MGC needs a 7/8" bore Brake Master because of the size of the calipers and a servo is being used.

If you buy the bozo cylinder - Your foot will be on the floor long before your MGC Stops. You Decide........
