Here's a new Starter Motor (10 Tooth) (4.5" Mounting Holes) for the following models with Inertia Type Starter from Austin -

Not for the last year of production when the Maxi 1750cc of 1980- 81 used a Pre-Engaged starter motor instead.

The Pre-Engaged Starter Motor is the type where the pinion moves sideways onto the tops of the ring gears teeth  - Type "Pre Engaged Starter Motor" into Google and you'll see plenty of pictures.

NOTE - On 26th April 2024 I increased the price of this part by 15% (From £68 to £76) because someone did not read the description and then thought it was OK to send this back at my expense.

NOTE - On 8th Aug 2026 I increased the price of this part by another 20% (From £79 to £94) because ANOTHER ONE did not read the description and topped it off by being daft enough to send me a picture of a Pre Engaged Starter motor - despite this being described & pictured as an Inertia starter again & again & again & again. No surprise that these people with no conscience and even less intelligence then thought it was OK to send it back - At my expense.
